Pakistan Women's Cricket Team Announces Emerging High-Performance Skills Camp

Pakistan's Women's Cricket Team is set to train a group of 27 emerging cricketers in the Inzamam-ul-Haq High-Performance Centre, Multan. The Emerging High-Performance Skills Camp, which begins on 25 March, will provide an opportunity for these young and emerging players to hone their cricketing skills under the guidance of experienced coaches.

The camp will be headed by former Test cricketer Mohsin Kamal, and the other academy coaches include Mauhtashim Rashid and Muhammad Kamran Hussain. Throughout the 13-day camp, these 27 players will train under the supervision of these coaches, and the camp serves as an opportunity for the coaches to work on the skills of emerging cricketers and identify players for the forthcoming ACC Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup to be staged in June this year.


The Emerging High-Performance Skills Camp is part of the ongoing efforts to create a pipeline of talented young players for the national team. Head of Women's Cricket, Tania Mallick, said, "The camp will help identify and develop talented young players at the grassroots level, and can help in creating a pipeline of players for the national team."

The objective of this camp is to upskill the players so that the selectors can identify the best players to represent Pakistan in the forthcoming ACC Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup. The camp will help to upskill the players in various areas of the game such as batting, bowling, fielding, and fitness.
